The Little Matchgirl

The Little Matchgirl, an adaptation of the Hans Christian Anderson story, and set to “Nocturne from String Quartet #2 in D Major” by Alexander Borodin, tells the poignant story of a girl forced into child labor.  Directed by The Lion King director Roger Allers, and produced by Don Hahn, the film earned a 2006 Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Short Film.
